His areas of academic interest are organizational behavior, organization development, and conflict resolution. Prior to his role with the College, Bob had extensive experience as an executive and management practitioner in both the private and public sectors. His work included roles as Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Development for St. Mary’s/Duluth Clinic Health System and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for the City of Duluth. When time allows, Bob enjoys backpacking in the mountains of Wyoming and running marathons. |
Peg SweeneyPhone: 218-726-2450 Email: sweeneyp@co.st-louis.mn.us Bio: Peg Sweeney has a B.S. Degree in Music Education from the University of Minnesota, Duluth. She taught elementary music for 7 years and worked as a Paralegal for 10 years in a general practice with a family law emphasis. She was a Proctor City Council member for 4 years, and has been a St. Louis County Commissioner for nearly 10 years, with 2 years left of a 4-year term. Commissioner Sweeney is a member of the Association of Minnesota County=s Health & Human Services Committee for St. Louis County. She serves as Chair of the Arrowhead Regional Corrections Board, is Vice Chair of the Community Health Board, and Secretary of the Arrowhead Regional Development Commission and Board. She is a member of the AEOA Executive Committee and Board, Elder Issues Work Group for Association of Minnesota Counties, Chamber Military Affairs Committee, Metropolitan Interstate Committee, North Shore Management Board, Regional Rail Authority, Sewage & Solid Waste Subcommittees through the St. Louis County Solid Waste & Health Departments, and the St. Louis County Liquor Licensing Committee. She also serves on the Board of Lake Superior Area Labor Management Association, and attends Duluth area and St. Louis County Township Association meetings. |

In 1979 Mark graduated from UMD with a B.A. Degree in Political Science and then in 1981 graduated from Mankato State University with a Master's Degree in Public Administration. Mark began his career in 1981 as the Purchasing & Personnel Director for the City of West University Place, a suburb of Houston Texas. In 1984 Mark then accepted the newly created Personnel Director position with Douglas County located in Superior, WI. As the County's first Personnel Director, Mark began his career in labor relations as the Counties lead Labor Negotiator for their 11 bargaining units. In 1990 Mark became the Human Resource Manager for Fleming Foods located in Superior, WI until 1996 when he accepted the Human Resource Manager position with ME Elecmetal, the foundry located in Gary-New Duluth. |

He graduated from Two Harbors High School and Moorhead AVTI where he was Student Senate President. He currently serves as Union Vice President and Chief Steward with AFSCME Local 244. Paul’s outside interests include hunting, fishing, scuba diving, his Harley Davidson, and spending time with his family, wife Connie, daughters Nicole, Syna, Kaitlyn and son Chad and six grandchildren. |

He is married to Lynn Ross for 32 years, has 4 daughters and 9 grandchildren. The Mayor was elected April 1, 2003 and was self-employed in as a small businessman. He grew up in a small business environment in a family business included home furnishings and restaurants. Later he owned of a small upholstery business in Superior. He has made a number of guest appearances on the Home and Garden Show and DIY Television Network. He graduated from the Superior School System and the University of Superior-Wisconsin. Besides being a member of a number of Government, Church and Community Boards and Committees, is an active member in various non-profit organizations dealing with disabilities. |

Upon his retirement in 2003 he attended UMD's Labovitz School of Business and received his MBA. Mr. Orman is on the mediators list for the Minnesota Supreme Court Rule 114 for both civil and family law. Recently he was appointed to the Arbitrators list for the Minnesota Bureau of Mediation Services. He has served as a past board member for LSALMA. He has worked for LSALMA under a Federal Mediation and Conciliation Services grant to expand LSALMA. |

She is responsible for managing its Human Resources as well a managing its overall operations. Shelley has been involved as a manager or in a teaching/program positions since 1982. She is a Doctor of Education in Leadership Doctoral Candidate (ABD) at St. Mary’s University of Minnesota, has a Master of Science in Educational Leadership and Administration from St. Cloud State University, St. Cloud, MN and a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Montana, Missoula, MT. She is also an Adjunct Instructor at Bethel University, St. Paul, MN, Bemidji State University, Bemidji, MN and the College of St. Scholastica, Duluth, MN. Shelley has served on many local boards and commissions including the Central Iron Range Initiative for Regional Economic Development (CIRI), Hibbing Chamber of Commerce, Hibbing Community College Advisory Board, Hibbing Housing and Rehabilitation Authority (HRA), Mesabi Range Community College Human Services Program,, United Way of Northeastern Minnesota and many more. |
